Happy April!

For many of us this month brings much activity. March 31 was the deadline for submissions to present or perform at our 2016 Louisville JEN conference. It is most heartening to see the intense volume of applications from individuals and groups who want to share their wisdom and talent at our conference. As JEN begins to organize and sift through these several hundred submissions, I can sense that our Louisville conference promises to be spectacular.

April is Jazz Appreciation Month. April 30 is International Jazz Day. These offer special opportunities to enjoy and promote jazz. I encourage all to join in by presenting, attending and supporting jazz events as we unite in a global celebration of this wonderful art form we call jazz.

My high school got a head start on this in our recent tour of South Africa. Below is an introduction of our profoundly successful journey and our ongoing connections with South Africa followed by tour updates that were sent back home during the trip. You are warmly invited to share our experiences.

Best,
