Organizers receive a JEN Full Individual Membership with payment of the chapter’s annual dues.

Organizers are eligible to apply for grants to support festivals, workshops and concerts.

Information: Secondary School Chapter(Ages 18 and under)

Chapter Membership Requirement ($96/year for organizer; $0/year for 18yrs. & under chapter members)

  • One JEN Full Individual Member (Director) and a minimum of 10 Student Members.
    • JEN Full  Individual Member (Director) Membership includes JEN Full Individual Membership Benefits:
      • Receive JAZZed Magazine – bi-monthly (Currently available only to U.S. Residents)
      • Receive Downbeat Magazine – monthly
      • Eligibility to submit performance and clinic applications (subject to annual appearance guidelines)
      • Eligibility to submit JAZZ2U grant applications
      • Eligibility to serve as a member of the Board of Directors or on the Executive Committee as an Officer
      • Eligibility to serve on Committees
      • Voting rights in all member elections/meetings
      • Receive JEN eNewsletters
      • Full access to Members Only section of the website
      • Limited access to leading JEN member educators, industry representatives and artists, both young and old
      • Eligibility to purchase registration to attend all JEN activities and events
  •  Student Memberships include yJEN Membership Benefits:
    • Access to JAZZed Magazine online
    • Access to Downbeat Magazine online
    • Eligibility to receive JEN eNewsletters

Chapter Student Member Requirements

  • Annual yJEN Membership Enrollment – Student members required to enroll as a yJEN member.
  • Elect a slate of officers and submit to the global JEN organization: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer

JENeral Member Director is eligible to:

  • JAZZ2U Grants – Advance Registration for JAZZ2U grant applications (1 month earlier than other like institutions)
  • JENeratins Jazz Festival – Advance Registration for JENerations Jazz Festival applications (1 month earlier than other like institutions)
  • Free Charts
  • Extended Early Bird Discount for the JEN Annual Conference
  • Website Hyperlink – Provide JEN link/listing to your website or Facebook page with appropriate logo provided to JEN
    • Authorization to link your website to JEN with appropriate logo provided by JEN
    • Note: JEN reserves the right to refuse the posting of any website material based on content appropriateness or other criteria.
  • Exhibit Tabletop Space option – Eligible to Purchase Tabletop Exhibit space at the Annual Conference
    • If exhibiting at Conference, JEN website link from posted Exhibitor Page to your website.
